The Sooner Straw Co. has the privilege to volunteer and donate all of its profits to two outstanding local philanthropies. Employees will volunteer a total of 800 hours during the semester at The Center for Children and Families (CCFI), a local organization in Norman. CCFI’s mission is to provide a nurturing place for children and families who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing abuse or neglect. Most of the service opportunities provided by this organization are through the Boys and Girls Club of Norman, all of our employees will aim to volunteer 4 hours a week by helping children with their homework, playing with them, and helping out the CCFI staff set up events. The Sooner Straw Co. will also practice social responsibility by becoming a monetary advocate for homeless families. Our company is very excited to donate all of its proceeds to Positive Tomorrows, a non-profit organization that provides education for homeless children and improves their family's financial dynamics. All of our employees truly cherish the opportunity to work alongside The Center for Children and Families and Positive Tomorrows.
